As u guys know previously i went for some laser treatments to get rid of my scars. Although there was quite a bit of results, i must say that they were rather short lived and very high maintenance as acnes and pimples still continue to grow as and when, causing scarring. However now i've found a better alternative, that is a procedure called subcision. The result of this procedure is permanent and cost around 100-200 bucks only.



The deep portions of the scar are released and the surface elevates with the wound repair process.The skin is numbed and the needle inserted under the depressed sar. Then, using a fanning motion in the horizontal direction, the fibrous bands are severed. The scar improve immediately. A few drops of your own blood, which contains collagen and elastic fibers, rushes into the depression and replaces some of the lost collage.


The idea behind acne scar subcision is that when a scar forms the healing of the collagen becomes 'short' in places between the outer epidermis level of the skin and the inner dermis level of the skin. The doctor just cuts the 'short' collagen fibers and they hopefully will be replaced by fresh collagen that has 'longer' fibers attaching the lower dermis to the upper epidermis. When the length of the collagen fibers between the upper epidermis and the lower dermis level of the skin are elongated the scar disappears from the surface of the skin. Flawless skin is the result.


Acne scar subcision will not work on all scars because some scars are only in the upper epidermis level of the skin, and can only be removed by removing the upper layer of the skin several times over and over in order to reach a lower level where the skin evens out.


This procedure causes bruising which fades after about 1 week.

Anyway, the doctor that i'm currently consulting is the very well known and famous socialite, Dr Georgia Lee. I must say that she is really very approachable, fashionable(she always wears branded to work) and chatty. Her fees are also quite affordable except the long waiting time at her clinic. However, do prepare to wait for 1-2 months for the first appointment that u make with her.





I bought this lightening body wash from her in hope to look as fair as her. But of cos this is not possible as our skin have got different pigmentation level, mine considered as quite jialat. After 2 months of using i noticed that my skin turned slightly fairer, but of cos not like hers. =( Of cos, it is also due to the fact that i didn't rigorously apply sun block lahs! Nvm, i still think that its a good investment as some darker parts of my body have become more normal. Also with the help of the whitening vitamins pills that she has prescribed me, my skin now has lesser breakouts.

And this is me right after the subcision procedure. The bruising will take around 1 week to lighten hence now i'm hiding at home till Friday! Beware, this is a painful procedure using a needle to poke poke poke, dig dig dig into ur skin.
